Chris Kamara was a key part of Swindon’s team in some of the club’s happiest times. The midfielder shrugged off some of the crude racism of the 70’s and 80’s to play almost 300 games. They included the memorable 1979/80 run to the League Cup semi-finals that took Swindon desperately close to Wembley.

He returned in 1985 to help Swindon to back to back promotions as Lou Macari’s hard working and ultra fit side romped to the Division Four title and won promotion via the play-offs in 1987 into Division Two.

In “Chris Kamara – Mr.Unbelievable” he talks about the highs and lows of his time with the club, most notably the clash with Jim Melrose at Shrewsbury that as good as ended his Swindon career.

Since his playing and managing days, Kamara has gone on to be a wildly enthusiastic pundit and part of Sky Sports Soccer Saturday – where he can periodically be found springing to Swindon’s defence when required.

Below is one of his finest, unintentional moments…
